a bit too much emphasis is placed on January 1st. it's like this universal white out or the big Reset button in our lives. we talk ourselves into believing that everything will change now that it's a new year. simply because the calendar reads 01.01.
is it really any different from the day that preceded it?
but I guess it's good to have something to look forward to. to hope for. otherwise, what is the point?
